Reports from two different community members helped the Sheriff's Office locate two men who allegedly went on a drunken spree. The first witness saw two apparently intoxicated men walking down the street, and shortly after heard the breaking of glass. Sheriff's deputies found the rear passenger window of a nearby vehicle broken, but the suspects had fled. However, another person overheard two men talking about escaping from the police and reported it. Deputies located Anthony H.D. Coulman, age 24 of Santa Cruz, and Taylor D. Beardin, age 20 of Ft. DUI, Missing Person

In response to a 9-1-1 report of an overturned vehicle, CHP officers arrived to find blood in the vehicle, and signs the driver had freed himself and walked from the scene. The officers searched for the driver, 29-year-old Gabriel Carraher, and contacted people who had recently seen him, to no avail. A "be on the lookout" was issued to other agencies and area hospitals. Just before 7 a.m., a Santa Cruz City worker found Carraher, injured and disoriented, walking in the area of High Street and Tosca Terrace. Investigation revealed Carraher was still intoxicated, and had been intoxicated at the time of the collision, according to CHP reports. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI and sent to Dominican Hospital to treat his injuries.
